Road Races: Saturday & Sunday ALL DAY Feb. 4th & 5th
TXBRA, Texas Cup “Region” Races
A 1.9 mile loop of the interior road at Cedar Hill State Park. The road is beautifully smooth and racers
will have the whole road as we're turning it into a one-way traffic pattern. Counter-clockwise Saturday &
clockwise on Sunday. The course is twisty with one significant hill (87+ feet of climbing) each lap and has
views of Joe Pool Lake as well as the hills of Cedar Hill. But stop looking around you’re supposed to be racing!
Hill Climb Time Trial: Saturday morning Feb. 4th
An approximately .9 mile route mostly uphill on West Belt Line Rd. in the City of Cedar Hill. TT
staging will be at the back gate of the state park and can only be accessed through the inside of Cedar Hill State
Park. ALL TT participants MUST enter the main entrance of the state park. There will be NO TT parking
outside the back gate of the park or along the TT course. The TT start is just outside the back gate of the park
and the finish will be at the top of the hill just before Mobley Rd. During the TT roads will remain open to
traffic so use caution. Before you panic, this stretch of West Belt Line Rd. is a dead-end, off-shoot of the main
Belt Line you probably know and this stretch is used only to accesses a few, small 1-2 street neighborhoods.
The TT is about .9 mile in length with a 5% average grade and 11% at the steepest. TT is Pre-Reg ONLY
MTB Short Track & ‘Cross Race: Saturday evening Feb. 4th
All NEW for 2017!! The course and race will be a MTB Short Track / ‘Cross race in one so it will be
MTB short track in style with no dismounting required! Additionally, we have moved the course to the area
around the Road Race parking and start/finish line and all MTB Short Track ‘Cross races will be in the
afternoon during the Men’s Pro/1/2/3 and 3/4 road races.
MTB SpeedWaves™ Finals: Sunday morning Feb. 5th $2,000 total cash purse
Race is one full 12-mile lap of the undulating Cedar Hill State Park Mountain Bike Trail. Qualificationbased waves offering up to 20 different SpeedWaves for riders and racers of all ability! Waves are arranged so
as to form racing groups of about 10-15 riders each. Our goal is to match you with your very closest
competition across "categories." Qualify for your wave based on any of the following: A. performance in any
2016 off road (Mtn. or ‘Cross) race. B. performance in pre-2016 SpeedWaves events or Cedar Hill State
Park events. C. USAC MTB or CX category and class (age group) MTB is Pre-Reg ONLY. FIELD SIZES:
Minimum field size per start wave: 5. Maximum field size per start wave: 20. Promoter reserves the right to
combine fields to meet field minimums. Minimum MTB entries required for full payout is 99 race entries.
Promoter reserves the right to adjust payout proportionally.
