Over the last thirty- three years my work within the Institute of National Planning and
African Union Commission has allowed me to develop my expertise and broaden my
range of skills. I have been involved in a number of nationals and international
private projects and gained a considerable amount of experience in the following
areas:

Acting as a Director of Strategic Policy planning, Monitoring and
Evaluation and Resources Mobilization for at least 500 Days through my
working with AU since 2005 up to 2014.

Finalize the Strategic Plan of the AU Commission, to periodically update as
circumstances require and, in due time, for the next planning period, to
prepare the successor Strategic Plan;

Preparing an economic and financial evaluation for planned projects using the
RBM approach;

To monitor the day-to-day implementation of the Strategic Plan and
utilizing Preparing social and economical feasibility studies for developing
projects using the participatory planning approach;

Assist in preparing and creating the AU- AMERT African Monitoring and
Evaluation Reporting Tool.

Participating in preparing the comprehensive economic strategy in the AUC
2nd Strategic Plan;

Preparing business plans for the promotion and development of the economic

resources;
To help and assist the organizations for preparing the annual work plan AWP.

To ensure a set of prioritized annual objectives for each program and project
is prepared on the basis of the Strategic Plan;

To organize and conduct regular internal seminars on research, monitoring
and result based management approach;

To ensure annual sectoral evaluations are conducted in each AUC Directorate

Preparing and setting up Socio-Economic plan for Rural and Urban Area and
calculating the Indicators for regional planning;

Prepared the impact assessments of planned projects on the national and
regional economies.

Investment analysis including technique of financial analysis, profitability and
budgeting analysis;

Supervision the field business surveys and set up base line data and report

editing and setting up unit for business surveys analysis;
To ensure the preparation of the annual declaration of the AU’s major
orientations and priorities on the basis of material collected from each
department on the activities and programs of the Union;

Head of Knowledge Management Division- Strategic Policy Planning,
Monitoring and Resources Mobilization Directorate – Bureau Of Chairperson of
African union commission - Leading and managing the Division to creating
Knowledge Management System and improving the library and Archive unit by
digitalizing process to be available on line.
2005 –2009
Head of planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division – Strategic Policy
Planning, Monitoring and Resources Mobilization Directorate – Bureau Of
Chairperson of African union commission, Leading and managing the Strategic
Plan unit and coordinate the finance of the program budget of the AUC. Managing
the Division responsible for building up the Commission’s capacity to define priorities
and to formulate, implement and follow policies and programs in a transparent and
responsible manner. Assist and produce planning and M&E manuals for AUC

commission. Produce the annual and biannual program budget for AUC as well as
the Strategic Plan and related activities. Assist to create African Monitoring and
Evaluation Reporting Tool AMERT system to monitor and produce the program
budget. The new system exists now and in developing stage.
1999 - 2005


for rural development. Coordinate between German projects and Egyptian
government organizations to achieve and develop the objectives of various projects
