The grant will be used by an all-volunteer force to help plant the new trees. The tree planting event will take place on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 9 a.m. Four local cities were awarded matching grants by the NFL and the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee in partnership with Super Bowl sponsor Verizon and local nonprofit Valley Permaculture Alliance.
