Request for quotation 60 minute fire door with substantial glazing. Supply and fit. 1. Location 1.1. Rushcliffe Arena, Rugby Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham, NG2 7YG 2. Background 2.1. Rushcliffe Borough Council have recently opened a brand new leisure centre. The centre has three squash court. Two are glazed backed, the third is not and is accessed through a 60minute solid core fire door. The door has one small peep hole in it. 2.2. Existing door: 3. Requirements 3.1. The unglazed door is proving unacceptable for the safeguarding of and the health and safety of the court users. We need to replace the door with a 60 minute rated fire door with a significant amount of clear pyroguard, or similar, glazing to enable clear vision into the court, which provides unique challenges as the door is not standard size, requires glazing to be both fire rated and safety glass, and requires that the surface of the door on the court side is totally flush as it forms the back wall of the court playing surface when closed. 3.2. To prevent injury to players on the court, there should be no protruding handle on the court side of the door. 3.3. The courtside of the door has to be totally flush as when the door is closed, it becomes part of the back wall of the court playing surface. 3.4. We seek a supply and fit solution. 3.5. The dimensions of the door are 1010w x 2050h x 55d 3.6. Preferably we are seeking a replacement door only. If you quote for a full door set including replacement frame you should make it clear why you are recommending this course. 3.7. We require a laminate finish in either a light wood or a plain white finish 3.8. The diagram over the page outlines our preference for the amount of glazing we wish to achieve. 3.9. It is encouraged for you to visit the site prior to quoting to ensure your solution meets the requirements. 4. Contact 4.1.
