[7th SUNDAY of Easter REFLECTION]
Stephen fell on his knees and cried out in a loud voice, 'Lord, do not hold this sign
against them' Act7:60 This guy Stephen was a son of a Jewish woman. The visionary in
the book of Revelation heard this prayer: 'Let the one who thirsts come forward, and the
one who wants it receive the gift of life-giving water' Rev22;17. The Lord prays: ' I will
not leave your orphans..'Jn14;18. Significantly, today the Lord prays for the children
given to Him by His father that they remain united and be one and especially that they
love one another. The Church is our Mystical Mother that embodies everything that
concerns our welfare and channels of graces. Every Mother like the hen gathers her
chicken around her and would want them be united in one bond of love. We pray for
Mothers who have experienced pains and sorrows due to the prodigality of their
children, for those who lost their children to accidental and natural deaths, those whose
children never come to visit them or talk to them and also those whose children are in
bondage of physical and spiritual prisons. We give thanks to God for Mothers who have
continued to stand by their children at all times especially during hard times and
sickness. For those whose children give reason to be happy, we thank God. For the
Mothers who have gone to be with the Lord, we praise God. Our Mothers are the Best
and we appreciate all their love and sacrifices. We Love You Mothers. M= for the
Moments together, O= your Optimism, T= for your Tenderness, H= Happiness you
bring, E= for your Everlasting love, R= for the Respect we have for you. HAPPY
MOTHERS DAY SUPER MOTHERS [Motherhood includes every woman, both potential
and actual, physical and spiritual ones] Every Mother should cultivate the habit of
prayers in her household and pray for the love and unity of the family.
