Better than facebook
The Winthrop Netball club has taken on board the colour of the club and
has become green. In order to cut down on paper waste all newsletters will
be up on our website, available to download. While you are checking your
facebook and myspace why not have a look around at the website. All
information such as umpiring rosters, upcoming events and important
dates will all now be a click away. Become tech savvy and keep up to date
with all newsletter issues.

With the holidays coming up why not try one of these 21 day
membership passes that are on offer. Fernwood gyms, a women
only gym, have created a 21 day membership that only costs 5$.

Umpires Wanted
Do you want to learn more about the game? Do you want to improve your
skills on court? Do you want to get paid and put something back into the
club that created the player you are today?
Well why not umpire. There are still opening spots for anyone willing to
umpire for the club. You will be rewarded for your efforts and get to meet
the other umpires of the club and the association. There are so many
benefits such as understanding the game better and learning how to
become a better player. There is no reason to say no.

This is a brand new season of netball and our committee has changed.
Louise O’Donovan is the new Winthrop Club’s President to take on the
challenge of filling in some very big shoes left by our 2008 President
Sandi Francis, but with a very enthusiastic committee to support her we
are sure to be in for a fantastic season.

~Sponsorship Position Available~
We have had some great sponsors that have provided the club with prizes on wind ups and discounts to
some of your favourite sporting goods stores and eateries. But now we need someone who is interested in
taking on the sponsorship position in the club. There is a folder full of information from the past years
about old sponsor contracts, and contacts to various sponsors, it just needs someone who is willing to
take it on. We have had great success in finding new sponsors as well as maintaining sponsors. If you are
