The internet provides unique opportunities to participate in interactive discussions and
share information on particular topics through a wide variety of social media, such as
Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, or other social networks, blogs, communities, forums, personal sites and web bulletins etc. Employees should be aware that they are held personally accountable for all content they post on social media, including indirect/
nonverbal expression (for example, “liking” a Facebook post). The use of social media should never violate company policies pertaining to Ethics, Use of the Internet, Privacy/Confidential Information, and Harassment.
Inappropriate posts towards the company, employees, vendors, customers, or any
entity that has a relationship with [INSERT COMPANY NAME] will not be tolerated. This
includes but is not limited to content that is discriminatory, offensive, harassing, threatening or unlawful (including, but not limited to, ethnic slurs, sexist comments, profanity, abusive language or obscenity). Employees should not publish any confidential
information or discuss internal business strategies. Confidential information includes all
private information such as trade secrets, intellectual property, or other proprietary,
commercial or financial information; personal information, such as medical, health,
financial or other personally identifiable information of the Company’s employees,
clients or third party vendors; the confidential or proprietary information of clients or
