FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: SEPTEMBER 1, 2016 COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS ANNOUNCE 2016-17 TELEVISION SCHEDULE Jackets TV schedule features live coverage of all 82 games, including 81 on FOX Sports Ohio with live streaming available via mobile app COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today that each of the club’s 82 regular season games in 201617 will be televised live, including 81 on FOX Sports Ohio as the club’s rightsholder unveiled its schedule for the upcoming season. New this season, all Blue Jackets games televised on FOX Sports Ohio will also be streamed live via FOX Sports GO directly through the Blue Jackets official mobile app. FOX Sports Ohio’s coverage of the Blue Jackets begins on Thursday, October 13 when the club opens the regular season at home against the Boston Bruins. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. Coverage of the season-opener will include a special one-hour edition of the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show beginning at 6 p.m. FOX Sports Ohio will air 40 home games and 41 away contests during the 2016-17 Blue Jackets regular season. The FOX Sports Ohio/Blue Jackets broadcast team features play-by-play announcer Jeff Rimer, color analyst Jody Shelley, studio analyst and host Bill Davidge, host Brian Giesenschlag and rink side reporter Dave Maetzold. As an added convenience, FOX Sports GO’s live streaming of games will be available to customers of participating pay-TV providers on iOS, Android, Fire tablets and Fire phones, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Roku, Windows devices, and online at FOXSportsGO.com. Fans can download the mobile app for free from the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store and Windows Store. Throughout the campaign, live game-night coverage on FOX Sports Ohio begins with Blue Jackets Live pre-game show, presented by Central Ohio Toyota Dealers, featuring highlights, player interviews and analysis. Coverage continues after the game with the post-game edition of Blue Jackets Live, presented by IGS Energy. The pre- and post-game shows will be hosted by Bill Davidge and Brian Giesenschlag. In addition, NBC Sports Network will televise the Monday, February 13 encounter between the Blue Jackets and New York Rangers live to a national audience from Nationwide Arena.
