How to Register
IF you already have your user name and password and have logged into LOLA, please go through the
following steps. IF not, please go down to the end of the instructions.
Go to solacc.edu
Click on the “LOLA Spring 2014 Registration Process” icon
Click on login to LOLA now.
Input your user name and password.

Click on the School Name Link in Self Service. (South Louisiana Community College)
Click Student
Click Registration
Click Add or Drop Classes
Choose the appropriate term (Spring 2014) and click submit
Click Class Search
Search Criteria
a. Mandatory: Subject (Emergency Science)
b. Optional: Course Number, Title, Campus, Instructor, Start/End Time, Days of the Week,
etc…
For Basic, you will schedule EMSE 1100 and EMSE 1200
Click Class Search
Check the Box of the desired section --Make sure it is the correct section:
AL is Alexandria
BR is Baton Rouge
CO is Covington
GR is Gretna
HO is Houma
LA is Lafayette
LC is Lake Charles
Option:
a. Click add to worksheet to add class(es) to your schedule
b. Click Worksheet to review your classes before adding to your schedule.
Click Submit Changes
Problems You May Encounter

Section Restrictions
o Your college may have set restrictions on sections which would prevent you from
registering for a section.

 Major/Field of Study
 Campus
 Freshman or Senior
 Etc…
If you have a hold from this college are any colleges within the LCTCS system you may NOT be
able to register.
o To view your holds click the view hold button.
o If it is an administrative hold visit Student/Enrollment Service to learn more about your
hold.
o If it is a Financial Hold visit the Bursar/Fiscal Affairs Department to learn more about
your hold
Schedule Assessment
1. From the Registratoin Page click on the Concise Student Schedule Link
2. Choose the appropriate term from the drop down box and click submit
3. Information Shown:
a. Course Number and Section
b. Course Title
c. Campus
d. Credits
e. Start and End Dates
f. Days
g. Times
h. Locations
i. Instructors
Fee Assessment
1. From the Student Menu click on the Student Account Link
2. From the Student Account Page click on the Account Summary by Term link
3. Shows all tuition and fees for a given semester
If you have not logged on to LOLA, please go through the following steps:
Go to southlouisiana.edu
Click on the “LOLA Spring 2014 Registration Process” icon
Click on login to LOLA now.
Input your user name: (first name/Last name, lowercase, no spaces) Example: johnsmith
and temporary password:
--First initial of first name (lower case)
--First initial of Last name (Lower Case)
--Birthdate (2 digit month, day, year) or (mmddyy)
--The word P@ss
Example: John Smith was born May 30, 1975= js053075P@ss
Change your temporary password to a permanent password

Below are the enrollment steps for SLCC’s Payment Plan:
 Login to LoLA
 Click on Student Tab
 Click on Student Account under the Student Tab
 Click on Account Summary by Term
 Go to Payment Options on the bottom of page (This will take students to Cashnet)
 Enrollment Fee: $30 (one-time fee)
 Convenience Fee for debit/credit card transaction: 2.75% per transaction
 Note: Dropping a course(s), does not terminate the payment plan unless the adjusted tuition
and fees charged are less than the amount collected. Please check SLCC refund policy to
determine the amount, if any, that may be refunded based on the drop date. Payments will
continue to draft until all tuition and fees are paid in full.
