Advertisement for the Post of a Project Associate(JRF) in SERB funded
project

Applications are invited for one Project Associate (JRF) for the SERB funded research
project. The details are as follows:
Title of the research scheme:"Immunotyping of Taenia solium functional secretome and
their proteomic identification"

Funding Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India.
Duration:The appointment will be made initially for a period of four months, but the
tenure may be extended on satisfactory performance up to 3 years. The appointment is coterminus with the project. The selected candidate will have to join immediately.
Additional information:The position may be converted to a full time Ph. D. position
subject to satisfactory performance and fulfilling eligibility criteria of IIT Mandi
admission in PhD programe.
Fellowship: Rs. 25,000/- p.m. for first two years, Rs. 28,000/-p.m. from third year
onward.
Minimum Qualification:possessing M. Sc./B. Tech or equivalent degree with 60%
marks in Life Sciences/Microbiology/Biotechnology or in related areasand passing
ofNET(JRF/LS)/GATE/equivalent test.
Or M. Tech. in relevant professional courses.

Age Limit: The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years.

Report to: A5 conference room, Library building, IIT Mandi , Kamand
Results Declaration: Finally selected candidate will be intimated by mail and or phone
after completion of all the interview procedure. Candidates are requested not to contact
coordinator regarding results after interviews. No communication will be done for not
selected candidates.
Selected Candidate must give the consent of joining within one week of the intimation of
selection. Otherwise candidature will be deemed canceled.
Starting Date of tenure: First week of August (tentative)
