NCU team gets shortlisted for finals of The Mitsubishi Electric Cup
A multi-disciplinary team comprising students of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics
Engineering participated in a national level automation competition organized by M/s Mitsubishi
Electric Ltd. The NCU team, ‘ELECTROTECH’ has been shortlisted in top 24 teams who will now compete
for The Mitsubishi Electric Cup in the finals to be held at Pune on 10-13 February 2016.
The initial rounds witnessed a competition among more than 100 teams from all across India. The theme
of the competition is ‘Eco-lmagination through Smart Manufacturing’ in which the NCU team proposed
to develop an automated car parking system for efficient utilization of the parking area and address the
topical issue of shortage of vehicle parking area in the metropolitan cities like Delhi. The project is
socially relevant as it aims at providing a cost effective car parking solution through the use of
automation.
