To the new Women’s Dream Center
The need – Our reason for the walk
There is a desperate cry for a Women’s Dream Center in Alaska. We have received hundreds of calls from
women who are in need of a safe place to receive hope for a better future and the freedom from the
addictions that keep them bound. We have acquired 38 acres in Willow at the base of Hatchers Pass. Once
called Black Mountain Inn and Last Chance Coffee House, it is now, the new Alaska Dream Center and
Second Chance Coffee House. The buildings have been vacant for a long time so they are in need of
renovations and repairs. As our community comes together we can be a powerful force to see the center
come to full fruition. You can be a part in the completion and support of this dream.
How You Can Be Involved
You can begin to help right now by telling a friend and asking them to tell a friend. You may also join the
men and women of the Alaska Dream Center, as they walk to see the vision of the Women’s Center become
a reality. There are no age limits to walk however adult supervision is required for each child. Support
teams will also be an important part of the walk, covering areas such as recruiting sponsorship,
advertising, refreshment stations, first aid, food for the finish line celebration, etc. If you are unable to
participate in the walk, you can still be involved by donating on line at www.dreamcenterak.org

1 team member recruits 10 donors of $10 or more per mile = approximately $300.00
100 team members walking = $3,000.00
