THE ST SEBASTIAN SPARTAN CHALLENGE

WHAT:
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO COMPETE IN A SPARTAN CHALLENGE.? DO YOU LIKE TO
COMPETE.? DO YOU LIKE TO WIN AWARDS.? THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU.!!! IT’S AN OBSTACLE
COURSE FOR RUNNERS WHO LIKE CHALLENGES AND DON’T MIND GETTING DIRTY.
WHO:
ANY 4TH – 8TH GRADER. COME AS A TEAM OR COME AS AN INDIVIDUAL. A maximum of 50
participants allowed so please sign up early.
COST:
$10 PER PARTICIPANT. AWARDS FOR EVERY FINISHER. TROPHIES FOR ALL TOP FINISHERS. There will
be a snack bar open for misc snacks, drinks and T shirts. Make checks payable to St Martin School.
WHEN:
April 25, 2015. 8:30am SHARP. This event will be over by 1 pm.
Parent or Guardian must be present for event. Please arrive for the start of the days event on time. Days
event times may be adjusted slightly according to the amount of participants.
WHERE:
Saint Martin de Porres Marianist School, 530 Hempstead Blvd, Uniondale, NY 11570
DESCRIPTION:
The races will include some of the following obstacles: tire drag, medicine ball throw, monkey bars, mud
crawl, water slide, bucket of water carry, belly crawl, tire flip, push ups, 3- 5 lap run, log walk, log roll, rope
climb, balance beam, etc.. There will be individual races as well as coed relays , boy relays and girl relays in
3 age catagories. Dress appropriately. Bring a towel and a change of dry clothes wouldn’t hurt. LOL….

determine winner.
9:20:
4th and 5th grade BOYS race. Depending on numbers there maybe heats with timed finishes to
determine winner.
9:40:
6th grade GIRLS race. Depending on numbers there maybe heats with timed finishes to
determine winner.
10am:
6th grade BOYS race. Depending on numbers there maybe heats with timed finishes to
determine winner.
10:20:
7th and 8th grade GIRLS race. Depending on numbers there maybe heats with timed finishes to
determine winner.
10:40:
7th and 8th grade BOYS race. Depending on numbers there maybe heats with timed finishes to
determine winner.
11am:
4th - 8th grade GIRLS relay race (3 runners). Depending on numbers there maybe heats with
timed finishes to determine winner.
11:30:
4th - 8th grade BOYS relay race (3 runners). Depending on numbers there maybe heats with
timed finishes to determine winner.
12 noon:
COMBO RELAY (any age, any gender as long as there is at least one female of the 3 runners, no
adults)
