We are excited to once again host the Wolverine Classic Grade 7/8 Volleyball Tournament at Wilson
Middle School. Below, you will find pertinent information and the draw. If you have questions, please

COST - $350 per school ($175 per team). Please make cheques payable to Wilson Middle School and
give to Brad Dersch upon your arrival.

•Boys and Girls 2nd Place Team Plaque, Medals
•Boys and Girls All Star Team and Tournament MVP
•Booster Juice Players of the Game for both teams (coaches choose own player)
RULES
•Official 2013-14 CVA Rules will be followed with the exception of the net rule. Our league does not
allow incidental net contact at the middle school level.
•SETTING OFF THE SERVE IS ALLOWED. REFEREES MAY CALL A CARRY AT THEIR DISCRETION.
•No libero
•12 sub rule unlimited
PARTICIPANTS
Participating team members must be in grade 6, 7 or 8.
COACHES ROOM
The Wolverine Classic is proud to once again provide an amazing selection of drinks, snacks, spaghetti
and our famous turkey dinner with all the fixings.
CONCESSION
Our Leadership crew will be providing a full concession service in our cafeteria. We hope you will utilize
this as it helps out our school leadership crew.
CHANGE ROOMS
There will be boys and girls change rooms available for all athletes. Please remind your players to not
leave anything in the change rooms as they will be unlocked.
ADMISSION
Adults - $5 weekend pass, $3 day pass
Students and children – free
COMPETITION
This tournament will be a round robin which guarantees each team 4 round robin games and at least
one playoff game. Round robin games will be two game sets to 25 (capped at 27). First and second place
teams after the round robin will get a bye to the semi-finals. All playoff games will be “best of three”
rally point with the first two games to 25 and no cap. The third game set if needed will be to 15 with no
cap.
Won-Lost MATCH records will determine team placement. Ties in the standings will be broken by: head
to head (1st tie breaker); followed by cumulative +/- points differential (2nd tie breaker); followed by a
coin toss (if necessary)
REMINDERS
•Practice balls will not be provided so please bring your own. Please do not allow students to have
these between games in the school.
•Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their players.
 No warm ups until the other court has finished their game.
