BORDER’S PROVINCIAL TEAMS - 2016
Border Cricket has announced their Provincial teams who will do duty for the province in the various tournaments
taking place at the end of the year.

The teams are all currently hard at work with afterschool and weekend team and individual coaching, with friendly
matches and camps planned to ensure that all teams are well prepared. A capping function will be held on Sunday
27 November at 11:00 at Buffalo Park.

CEO of Border Cricket congratulated all the players selected and wished them well for the tournament. He said that
it was pleasing to see ex-provincial players having their son’s selected for some of the teams: Matthew Pope (father
Steven), Thando Ntini (father Makhaya), and Adam Du Plessis (father Bouwer). He also noted that former provincial
players were also giving back to cricket as Bevan Bennett and Burton De Wett had taken to coaching. “We feel
confident that our teams will give of their best this year and have had adequate preparation leading up to the
tournaments”.
