The notebook is divided into TWO sections.


The Left SIDE is for student work. This is
the side that you can use to show your
creativity. This is the “output” or product
side. It expands on what you learned.
The Right SIDE is contains only information
given by the teacher. Nothing else should
be placed on the RIGHT SIDE!! This is the
side for teaching and learning.
LEFT side =
STUDENT work = OUTPUT
RIGHT side is “restricted”
to TEACHER INPUT
Your response to the day’s
activity is placed on the
bottom left or output side of
the notebook. This section
acts as a reinforcement for
the right or input side.
You can design the left side
any way you like unless
specific guidelines are given.









