At one end of the scale there is the energy of the typical four-year-old. At the other end of the scale, I wonder if you have ever had to live or work with someone who was metaphorically dead, but not buried yet. Rippa!...Waking up is a really great start! What were the first thoughts that ran through your mind this morning as you awoke from sleep? The first thought that will go through the typical four-year-old’s mind is, “Rippa! Another day!” Look for fun and Sadly when most adults wake up, is when the whinging and complaining start. laughter Four-year-olds are simply glad to be awake again and this is the only ‘yummy’ reason why they need to go and make the most of their day. What I think we have forgotten in our busy adult lives, is that waking up is a really good start. We have forgotten that we are not here forever, everyone dies. Life is a short. Once you know the rules of any game it is easier to play the game. Life is no different. The number one rule is: Life is a short, unpredictable ride. Can I encourage you to create positive ways to remind yourself daily that life is a short, unpredictable ride? It is important to maintain the sense of urgency and energy to do what you want to do with your one wild and precious life. So what will you be thinking when you are lucky enough to wake up tomorrow?
