Game Reporting Process - Pickering Men`s Slo

Pickering Mens Slow Pitch League Result Reporting
Overview
First and foremost, at the conclusion of each game, the scorekeepers on both teams should
double check with each other to ensure that they each have the same result. If there is a
discrepancy, please resolve the matter and engage the umpire, if necessary. The winning
team should also ensure that the umpire signs their score sheet. All score sheets should be
retained until the end of the playoffs as the league could request these documents at any
time.
The winning team is responsible for reporting all game results (including defaults and playoff
games) no later than Tuesday night at midnight following the date the game is played. Failing
to meet this deadline will result in the game not being included within the league standings.
Be forewarned, there are no exceptions if the deadline is missed.
Should a game end in a tie or be cancelled (eg; rainout), both teams should submit the result.
All scores must be reported using the league Report-A-Score form, which is accessible from
the main page of the website (Report Results).
A brief description of how to complete the form is detailed on page two.
Should you encounter any problems submitting your result, you should immediately contact
our league webmaster and statistician ([email protected]).
The Report-A-Score script has introduced some new and neat editing features this year with
the goal of improving the accuracy of the reports.
Upon submitting your score, you will receive a confirmation of submission message at the
foot of the web page. If you have provided a valid email address, you will receive a copy of
your submission via email. Remember to keep this email as this is your receipt and proof
of submission. Please check your email for accuracy and resubmit a second report, if
required.
Scores are frequently updated throughout the two and a half day reporting period. It is
recommended that you check the results section of the website for your division to ensure
that the score has been reported, especially if you have delegated this task.
Should your game be cancelled or not completed, you must indicate within the comments
section that you would like the game to be rescheduled. Rescheduling requests will only be
considered if submitted on the Report-A-Score form prior to the submission deadline. Should
neither team request that the game be rescheduled prior to the deadline, the game will not
be rescheduled.
This same comment area should be used to advise of any issues with the game or the park
(examples: equipment needs, field safety issues, player ejections, general observations and
comments). All comments submitted will be forwarded to the appropriate division convener
for his attention.
