Royal Air Maroc flight. Either the members travel together or not.

These general conditions apply specifically to the “Safar Family” program.
I. Object
1.1 Safar Family program allows from 2 to 12 family members (composed by the grandparents,
the parents and their children), already members of Safar Flyer program, to earn their award
Miles on a joint account called hereinafter “Safar Family account”. On this account will be
recorded all the award Miles earned individually by each family member according to the
general terms and conditions of Safar Flyer program.
1.2 Depending on the number of award miles earned on the Safar Family account, the family
gets a quick access to Safar Flyer individual & family awards. The award scale is available on
the Safar Flyer website hereinafter “RAM Website”.
II. Safar Family account solicitation
2.1 Participation to the Safar Family program is free and with no obligation.
2.2 Only one Safar Family account is authorized per family from 2 to 12 members. The family
is composed by the grandparents, the parents and the children aged from 2 to 26 years old.
2.3 The legal guardian can be either one of the grandparents, the parents or one of the child
aged of 18 years old or more.
2.4 Only the legal guardian is allowed to appoint the members of his family, he wishes to be a
part of the Safar Family account called hereinafter “appointed members”.
2.5 The members of the family who are not a member of the Safar flyer program, have to
subscribe; they will all receive their Safar Flyer number account, and will be appointed by the
legal guardian in order to be a part of the Safar Family account.
2.6 One and only companion can be appointed by the legal guardian in order to be a part of
the Safar Family Account.
2.7 A family member can only belong to one Safar Family account.
2.8 The solicitation to the Safar Family account must be done through the completion of a
membership form that must be signed by the legal guardian and sent to Safar Flyer. This form
should clearly state the legal guardian and the appointed members of the Safar Family account.
2.9 The membership form to joint the Safar Family program must be signed by the legal
guardian stating its willingness to join the Safar Family program.
2.10 Royal Air Maroc declines any responsibility for the members appointed by the legal
guardian. Only the legal guardian is responsible of the appointed members belonging to the
Safar Family account. With the parent’s approval if the member is minor.
2.11 After the creation of the Safar Family account, the legal guardian will receive a Safar Family
account number. This Safar Family account number will be used for every award request and
to consult the Safar Family account.
2.12 Any person willing to benefit from the Safar Family account is deemed considered to have
read and accept the specific conditions of the Safar Family product and the general conditions
of Safar Flyer program.
2.13 Royal Air Maroc reserves the right to refuse membership to anyone who does not answer
the criteria requested.
III. Terms for earning Miles
3.1 The earned Miles scale is established according to the rules and regulations of Safar Flyer
program.
3.2 Each family member should show and communicate its individual membership number at the
booking for each flight undertaken with Royal Air Maroc or Safar Flyer airline and non-airline partners.
3.3 The beneficiary members of the Safar Family account earn Miles according to the rules and
regulations of the Safar Flyer program whether travelling separately or together.
3.4 The award Miles will be recorded on each individual account for each flight undertaken with
Royal Air Maroc or Safar Flyer airline and non-airline partners. The earned award Miles will be
transferred to the Safar Family account.
3.5 Each member can access his individual account online in the “RAM website” and obtain detailed
information on his activities. However, only the legal guardian can have access to the Safar Family account
through the Safar Family account number and PIN code.
3.6 By opting for the Safar Family account program, all the appointed members continue
to earn in their respective individual account status miles and flights for each calendar year
allowing him an access to the silver and gold status.
3.7 Miles and status flights are not earned on the Safar Family account. The legal guardian
or any appointed members do not have the right to access the Silver and Gold status by
combining the miles and status flights of the Safar Family account.
3.8 Regarding the Miles earned during a calendar year (January 1 to December 31) please refer
to the individual account.
3.9 The legal guardian shall ensure the use of the miles earned on the Safar Family account
before they expire. No claim for expired Miles will be accepted.
IV. Terms for burning Miles
4.1 Only the legal guardian is entitled to apply for an award accordingly to the conditions and
rules of each award published on the “RAM website”.
4.2 The awards applied for are subject to the rules and regulations of the Safar Flyer program
and those submitted as part of promotions.
4.3 The Safar Family account will retrieve the required Miles for the award requested according
to the rate in effect at the time of application. The oldest Miles are the ones that will be
retrieved first.
4.4 The legal guardian of the reward is solely responsible for paying all the taxes relative to
the selected award ticket. Therefore the legal guardian will pay airport and safety fees when
the award is given.
V. Safar Family account Management
5.1 All communication concerning the Safar Family Product is done only with the legal guardian
of the Safar Family account.
5.2 Only the legal guardian may act on the Safar Family account to ask for awards, update
profile, add new member, and cancel the account. The legal guardian may makes such changes
through the features available on “RAM website” or by the email account registered on the
Safar Family account or in writing signed by the legal guardian and sent to Safar Flyer.
5.3 The legal guardian of the Safar Family account may request the addition of a appointed
members. Safar Flyer reserves the right to request all the evidences before accepting the
attachment.
5.4 The legal guardian has also the right to remove a member from the Safar Family account.
Moreover, an appointed members of over 18 and subscribed in the program may ask to leave
the Safar Family account by submitting its request in writing and signed to Safar Flyer.
5.5 The children will automatically be removed from the Safar Family account when reached
the age of 26 years.
5.6 The legal guardian guarantees the truthfulness and accuracy of all information provided to
Royal Air Maroc especially when it concerns the adhesion to the Safar Family program and will
be responsible for any incorrect, incomplete or obsolete information. The legal guardian accepts
that Royal Air Maroc can check regularly and at any time the membership of the family members
attached to the legal guardian and is committed to provide the information required.
5.7 In case of death or withdrawal request from the legal guardian. The new legal guardian has
to write to Safar Flyer, with the approval of all the members aged of 18 years old and more.
VI. Cancellation of the Safar Family account
6.1 In case of bad execution or in case of failure to respect the terms and conditions by the
legal guardian and/ or appointed members or in case of reluctance to provide the information
requested for audit purpose, Royal Air Maroc reserves the right to terminate the Safar Family
contract.
6.2 Royal Air Maroc reserves the right to exclude from the Safar Family program any member
who abused from the privileges provided, made false declarations, did not obtain Miles or
failed to meet the general terms and conditions of transport of Royal Air Maroc.
6.3 In the case of exclusion, the earned Miles will be taken away and loose all value, and
any premiums previously issued but not used will be cancelled, without the legal guardian or
any third party right to claim any compensation and without prejudice to any damages the
customer may request to Royal Air Maroc because of the cancellation.
6.4 If one of the members is entitled to cancel his membership in the Safar Family program. He
will have to notify the request in writing to Royal Air Maroc. Therefore, the earned miles will be
given related to the flights operated within the last 12 months.
6.5 In case of willing of delete the Safar Family account from the legal guardian, the miles of the
last 12 months will be refund on each personal account and the complement of the balance
will be given to the legal guardian.
6.6 In the case of a 2 members Safar Family account :
• If one of the 2 members dies: the account is closed and the whole balance is given back
to the other member.
• If the account is a parent and a child and the latest reach the age of 26 years old: the Safar
Family account is closed and the whole balance is given to the parent.
VII. Protection of personal data
7.1 By joining Safar Family program, members authorize Royal Air Maroc to use and process their
personal data in order to enable the implementation of the program, but also for marketing
and communication purposes.
7.2 The membership data may be transmitted confidentially to market research agencies, for
their exclusive use, for purposes of statistical analysis and market research.
7.3 In order to exercise their rights of access, rectification and opposition, in accordance with the
Moroccan Law n°09-08 on the protection of personal data, members can notify at any time by
e-mail Safar Flyer service at the following address : [email protected]
VIII. Responsibilities
8.1 Royal Air Maroc is not responsible for any damages incurred when using an award,
excluding transportation damages for which the carrier’s liability is governed by the Warsaw
and Montreal conventions and Royal Air Maroc general conditions of transport and/or the
Moroccan laws concerning the domestic flights.
8.2 Royal Air Maroc is not responsible for any delay or loss caused by the postal services.
Royal Air Maroc is also not responsible for any loss or theft of awards or any other document
issued by Safar Family and no document may be replaced.
8.3 Royal Air Maroc is not responsible for any linkage of a member to a Safar Family account
without prior consent of the said member or Legal Guardian for minors, only the legal guardian
of the Safar Family account is responsible for any legal proceeding, damages, losses, and
expenses, including, among others, attorneys’ fees and litigation arising from or relating to
compensation of a member linked to the Safar Family account managed by the legal guardian.
IX. Miscellaneous
9.1 The legal guardian is committed to inform the Safar Family members of these terms and
conditions and to ensure their compliance. These general conditions govern the contractual
relationship between Royal Air Maroc and the legal guardian as part of the Safar Family program
and are subject to change at any time with immediate effect. The most current version of these
terms is available on the “RAM website”.
9.2 Royal Air Maroc reserves the right to replace Safar Family program and to modify or amend
at any time this program and these terms without prior notice.
9.3 The sale, purchase, brokerage, resale, barter or exchange of Miles, or awards tickets in
exchange for any compensation is prohibited. Those who would make use of an award or
benefit acquired illegally are liable to prosecution. Miles, bonuses and benefits have no cash
value and cannot be honoured in cash.
9.4 These general conditions are available in French and English. In case of divergence of
interpretation, only the French version shall prevail.
9.5 The general conditions shall prevail over any previous text.
X. Applicable Law - courts
10.1 The applicable law is the Moroccan law.
10.2 Any dispute arising from the interpretation of these terms, in the absence of amicable
settlement within 90 days from its start, will be the exclusive judiciary of the court of Casablanca.
