BOYS SOCCER PARENT
MEETING INFORMATION
COACHES
 David Bammel – Head Coach (Varsity Team)
 5 th season at Lake Travis HS and 12 th season as a high school soccer
coach
 Evan Foxworth– Assistant Coach (JV Black)
 1 st season at Lake Travis HS and 6 th year as a high school soccer
coach
 Eric Rodriguez – Assistant Coach (JV White)
 3 rd year at Lake Travis HS and 2 nd Season with high school soccer
SOCCER OFF-SEASON
 Of f-season is used to develop athletes through soccer specific
training, speed and agility, strengthening, and endurance.
 We do attempt to push our athletes hard in hopes of
developing their abilities week in and week out.
 Taking Care of themselves – very important to eat right and
hydrate as often as possible.
 Texting System set up – Encourage kids to pass on all text
messages to other athletes.

etc.
 Touches on the Ball – Probably more than double players
touches by being involved
 Extra Training Sessions each week
 Representing your school and community

TRY OUT PROCESS
 Although of f-season does allow for us to get to know all our
athletes, it is not a try out...Try -outs will start on the Monday
we get back from Thanksgiving Break (November 28 th ) and
teams will be posted on that Wednesday night (November
30 th ).
 We had 92 try -out last year and cut 28 athletes…this year we
expect to get over a 100 to come out.
 Very Competitive!
LAST YEAR
 Varsity: 25-2 and finished as State Finalist (top 2 teams in the
entire state)
 JV Black: 16-0-3
 JV White: 5-7-4
 Program Total: 46 – 9 - 7
 Very successful…yet, we know we can be better.
