You say you want to be a TCYSA Board Member?
We always have an opening or two for anyone wanting to make a positive difference. Most board members and league directors have families, full time jobs, coach a team and/or referee. If you think something could be improved, volunteer your time to improve the association for all our children.
Perks:
Each board member gets free registration for one child, every season.
Board members who also coach get first pick of practice times.

Registration and Team Formation
• Registration for the new season starts around the last game of the season and will continue for several weeks. Players that register and pay during regular registration will be placed back on their same team unless they request the player pool. Players registering after regular registration will incur a late fee and will not be guaranteed placement on their same team. Players are not considered registered until paid in full.
• Financial assistance is offered through The Colony Recreation Center. If you have a player in need, direct them to the Rec Center with their last tax return. Eligibility for a discount will be decided based on predetermined guidelines and a discount code will be given by the Rec Center if eligible.
• The player draft and team formation is done the day after regular registration has ended. All registered, paid returning players are put on their last team. New players and players that had requested the pool are chosen by blind draft to fill teams up to their maximum roster size. Any players that register late will be added to their last team if there are openings. If not, they will be moved to another team in the same age bracket if available. If no team is available in the same age bracket, the player will be offered to move up to the next age bracket if there is a team available or offered a refund.

Now that you’ve volunteered….
All volunteers have to pass a background check every year. This is normally done in the Fall, but if Spring is your first season to coach, you need to do one in the Spring, and again the following Fall.
• New Coaches and assistant(s):
Go to www.tcysa.net and click on the Coaches tab, then the Got Soccer Coach link. Set up a New Account as Coach. Fill out the form and submit. You will receive an email from the Club Manager at Got Soccer. In the email toward the bottom, you will have a link to update your profile. Click on this link and look for the background check tab on the top of the page. Complete and submit. TCYSA will be notified of the results.
Badges – If you did not get your badge made at the Coaches meeting, please send a picture of yourself and your assistant(s) to your director as soon as possible. This is needed for your badge.
• Returning Coaches and assistant(s):
Every Fall season you will need to renew your Background check. Badges – If you did not get your badge made at the Coaches meeting, please send a picture of yourself and your assistant(s) to your director as soon as possible. This is needed for your badge.
