Giving the player an item during a conversation
To use the ‘ga_give_item’ script to give the player an item during a conversation you need to fill in
two boxes (which will appear after you press refresh).
1. sTemplate (String) - In this box you put the ‘Template ResRef’ of the item you want to give to the
player.
The easiest way to do this is to copy an existing blueprint from
the list and change the Template ResRef to something that is
easy to remember.
Right click on a blueprint in the list and choose ‘Copy
Blueprint’ and the ‘Module’
You will see the copy of the blueprint appear in the list in bold
with the same name
Select the copy of the blueprint by clicking on it
Now look in the properties window and find the ‘Template
ResRef’ box (below the ‘Tag’ box). Change this to something
you can remember as you’ll need to type it in to the box in
the conversation writer.
You can also change the tag to the same thing as you may
need to type it in later if you have a quest involving this item.
