Premier Athletics Michigan Xtreme
2017-2018 Cheerleading Team Placements
Welcome to Premier Athletics Michigan Xtreme (PA MIX) We are excited for you to become a part of the most
decorated gym in the state. Founded in 2002 we pride ourselves on a strong competitive spirit while maintaining
an even stronger focus on safety, integrity and positive leadership.
Outside of training amazing athletes, we focus on developing great leaders as well. Our goal every day is to teach
our athletes the values of strong work ethic, time management, goal setting, physical fitness, self-confidence a
positive attitude and a love of the sport.
Please take the time to visit our website at www.mixcheer.com and click on teams (yellow bar) and then full

Selection Process
 There are many things taken into consideration when forming teams. We need to build teams with a
good mix of skills to meet the needs of the score sheets and where the athletes can compete with
confidence. This is a combination of both stunting and tumbling. In addition to skills, we are looking for
leaders and athletes with drive and passion. Sitting around at team placements, rolling your eyes or
presenting a poor attitude or inability to work with in team environment may not reflect well.
 We will take the month of June to continually evaluate the athletes to ensure strong placements. If any
athletes are to be moved, you will be notified by June 30th. Throughout the year athletes may have
additional opportunities as well.
 The team selection process will be run in a fun/low key environment. Athletes will be given plenty of time
and opportunity to showcase their talents. Understand that we want to see skills you are confident with.
The rule at our gym is: TECHNIQUE Rules. We will be looking at Jumps, tumbling and flexibility.
 If you need assistance with skills or levels please visit the team/full season section of the website for skills
sheets and video examples
 Have fun

 If you are crossing over, you may see an asterisk by your number. Look for multiple teams.
 All decisions are final. If you would like to know what your athlete needs to do to progress to a higher
level team at some point in the season we will be happy to review their video and speak to you. There
will be no phone calls/emails for 24 hours as we will be busy prepping for meetings. There is NO
