Arrange with trainees for copies of evaluations to be handed in on a regular basis and provide
feedback

Agree a plan for scheduling formal observations during of Placement B. NB The entitlement for
trainees must ensure that each trainee has a minimum of one formal written observation
feedback every week during the placement
Update Subject Knowledge audit
Plan a timescale to address the assignment and subject training activities
Discuss the aims of the Curriculum Development Assignment and begin to firm up any ideas
for focus, with a view to starting the SCDA teaching after Half-term
Discuss mid-term plans (schemes of work) to take the trainee teacher

Working really well – set clear targets to stretch and challenge.
Working well – definitely on target , set clear targets ( from Good to outstanding document)
Working well enough but danger of coasting – set targets to push on to further competency ( working
with RI trainees document)
Working at a level which is causing some concern – need to achieve some short term targets to get on
track for a Pass. Remediation might help to focus targets.
Working at a level which might lead to being at risk of failing – initiate the remediation process with
two week target reviews. Read AROF procedures
