St Christopher's Shop Wars
are coming to a high street near you!
We would like to invite companies and local businesses
to take over one of our 17 shops for a day
We need teams of 5 or 6 volunteers to run one of our shops for a day.
Join our dedicated Shop Wars Day on 24 September 2015
* If you have a large team and want to take part in Shop Wars we would be happy to organise a special day just for your
company.
How it works
Your team will be designated a shop for the day.
You will have a manager and volunteers on hand on the day to help you and
also to man the till.
Anything goes in love and war. Whether it’s a little sweet treat to bribe
customers into your store, or fancy dress, music and entertainment or a 'live'
front window to attract attention.
Shops compete against each other and whoever raises the most money will be
the first to win the St Christopher’s Shop Wars award. Sales and fundraising all
count so you can have bucket collectors, raffles and cake sales as well as
securing donations of items to sell from colleagues and clients in the lead up
to the event, you can even use your company intranet and social media to
increase activity and sales in the lead up to and on the day.
Don’t forget your can also get sponsorship and matchgiving.
If you have a large team we would be happy to organise your own
Shop Wars for you when you can take over any number of stores or
you can enter a team into our Shop Wars day on September 24 and
see how you fair against other businesses.
About St Christopher’s Shops
St Christopher’s has 17 shops which last year contributed over £1 million
towards our annual costs of almost £18 million. Our customers, volunteers and
those who donate items we can sell, are helping us achieve so much more, you
can be a part of this incredible team.

What can we expect to happen on Shop Wars
Your team’s will be up against other teams in different shops.
The target is to raise as much as possible through your expert leadership and
enterprising skills this is your chance to win the Corporate team award.
Pretty much anything goes ,fancy dress ,auctions ,sale tables balloons and
whistles a must. Having fun is also essential!
We have the stock, your team’s task is sell as much of it as possible through
innovation and drive ,as well as raising even more through donations on the
day, the how we leave to you.
On the day we will have a total from each shop of how much has been raised.
The winners will be the shop with the biggest total for the day compared to the
same day in the previous week shop sales records. The winning team will be
presented with a special prize and an invite to our Christmas celebrations and
of course will hold the title of Corporate Winners.
