Key stage 1 Results ( Year 2 1 child = 2%)
This year saw a huge shift in the standards. The expectations have risen significantly and the levels of assessment
were removed.
We do not receive the results until 5th July
Children in Year 2 are now graded as
Working Towards the standard.
Working at expected standard
Working at Greater Depth standard
National standard is expected to be around 60 % this year
Our indications show 84 % expected standard + for Reading 74% National
81% expected standard for Maths 73% National
80% expected standard for Writing 65% National
Upland Primary School Results
Key stage 2 Results (Year 6 1 child = 2%)
This was the second year of new assessments for our Year 6 children, the new
curriculum was changed in 2014. The expectations have risen significantly.
Again test results are due on the 4th July.
Our early teacher assessment indications are
76% Maths standard expectations
80% Reading standard expectations.
83% Writing standard expectations. 10% Greater depth studied.
This could all change please keep an eye on the website for official results.
11+ Each year around 25% children are deemed selective.

In April 2016 Upland Primary School were awarded an Academy order meaning that we could form our own trust.
● We believe that effective collaboration is the key for schools to succeed in today's Educational climate.

I will be the Executive Headteacher still responsible for Upland and will most certainly still be present here, working with Mrs Mckenzie and
the school community. I will also be overseeing another school in the future.

· See that my/ our child goes to school regularly, properly dressed and equipped.
· Make sure that my / our child arrives in school on time and is collected on time.
· Provide an explanation if my / our child is absent.
· Support the school in maintaining good behaviour and discipline.
· Support my/our child with homework and other home learning opportunities.
· Attend parents’ evenings and discussions about my /our child’s progress.
· Let the school know if there are any issues that may affect my child’s ability to learn.
· Take an active interest in my child’s life in school.
· Ensure that my child gets enough sleep and goes to bed at a reasonable time before schooldays.
· Avoid taking children out of school for holidays during term time.
