For the Berlin EFM, the criteria (in addition to those general criteria hosted on the website), for
which you must provide evidence, if asked, are:

You must be resident for tax purposes in Northern Ireland.
For the purposes of this trade mission, a film-maker is either a producer or a director.
If you are a director, you must attend with your producing partner.
Northern Ireland Screen will not fund directors to attend the EFM without the producer of
the project also being present.
A producer may attend without a director.
This offer is currently not open to writers.
You must be a current Northern Ireland Screen client with at least one project (feature film
or transmedia project) currently in development with Northern Ireland Screen.
Northern Ireland Screen reserves the right to adjudge whether the project(s) is/are ready
for market and this will have a bearing on the eligibility on your application.
As places are strictly limited, Northern Ireland Screen will be treating eligible applications
on a first-come first-served basis.
The number of Trade Missions for which you have been previously funded by Northern
Ireland Screen will be taken into consideration and if this Trade Mission is over-subscribed
then newcomers may be given preference, in addition to the first-come first-served
regulation.
If your application is successful, you must register for the Market Badge at the early bird
rate by 30th November.

What is the strategic purpose of your attendance? Please detail how participation in the Trade
Mission will progress your career/your company/your project(s). Please be specific. Do not simply
say “for meetings.” List who you intend to meet or at least try to meet and how you will use the
market to your best advantage

objectives?
Please provide clear evidence of additionality: i.e. that the use of public funds in support of
attendance is justified. What would be the impact of Northern Ireland Screen deciding not to
support this application?
Please detail previous (and future) Trade Missions within the film, television and digital content
industries within the last 3 years from 1st January 2012 to 31st March 2015 for which you have
been funded/will have been funded by Northern Ireland Screen and amounts granted. Obviously
do NOT include this market (but, e.g. some television industry Trade Missions have already been
confirmed for the first quarter of 2015).
If already in receipt of funding from Northern Ireland Screen, please provide a statement below as
to why you feel additional financial support monies should be provided and clearly demonstrate
that no potential for double funding exists.
Budget
Please note: Northern Ireland Screen will provide financial assistance of £515 per individual
towards the total costs of attendance at EFM 2015, for a maximum of 2 individuals per
company. Therefore the maximum a company can apply for is £1,030. This is based on the
following individual budget for delegate registration, economy flights direct from Dublin to Berlin +
1 bag, ground transportation and hotel/subsistence for 4 days.

Amount requested from Northern Ireland Screen:
Partnership funds: please enclose a letter confirming who will provide the match finance to
any Northern Ireland Screen award.

will have to repay all monies already paid by Northern Ireland Screen.
