Proposal: To eliminate the partial wins now given at restricted shows for animals
awarded Grand Champion, and to instead give them a full-status win to be earned
on a one-time basis only. I propose a change to show rule G.9.b: to now read,
“The recorded grand of a Restricted Show shall record 1 full-credit win toward a
PGCH status. Once receiving a Grand Champion at a Restricted Show, the animal
will be ineligible to compete in any future NPGA Sanctioned Restricted shows.”
Show Rule G.9.c to be eliminated.
Reason: NPGA has committed itself to promoting and supporting its youth
members and families. Giving our youth exhibitors the chance to earn a Grand
Champion win, will be a huge nod toward further development of a youth
program.
Advantage: Shows youth and their families that NPGA is committed to further
support and development of Youth programs. Also may increase numbers of
members and families attending an NPGA event.
