NOTE: Liquid Soap To simplify assembly and to ensure proper engagement of all components, apply a mild detergent to dovetail and snap fits before assembling. Two Person Assembly (2) Step Stools/Stepladders 1 Level construcion site before beginning assembly of shed. A foundation may be constructed if desired. Remove any items that are attached to or leaning against shed wall or Gable. 2 Remove any Roof Pins, Brackets, or Screws that connect the Roof Panels to Side Walls or Gables. 4 Using (2) step stools (1 inside shed, 1 outside shed), lift bottom of the Left Roof Panel(s) above horizontal, disengaging them from Ridge Beam. NOTE: Set Roof Panel(s) aside, keep them seperate from Extension Kit Panels. 417/8" 843/8" 3 Starting at the bottom corners, push up on Left Roof Panel(s) (N) disengaging all snaps between roof panels and gable, and roof panels and wall panels. 1 R N 2 N 2 1 N 2 N 1 5 Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for Right Roof Panel(s) (P). 6 Remove 2" x 6" lumber if applicable. Unfasten Bolt (BB), Washer (CC) and Nut (DD) 1 place. See Steps 3-4 R P P DD CC M BB R R M 7 DD Unfasten Bolt (BB), Washer (CC) and Nut (DD) 1 place. Remove Ridge Beam (R) from cups at top of each Gable (M). 8 Remove the Screws (AA) 8 places from back Gable (M). Using a rubber mallet, disengage back Gable (M) from the back wall panels. BB CC R M M M R M 9 Using a rubber mallet, remove the Wall Connetors (Q) 4 places that connect Left Back Panel (E) to Right Back Panel (G). Seperate lap joint between Left Back Panel (E) and Right Back Panel (G). Disengage all snaps between Left Back Panel (E) and Back Left Floor (B), then disengage dovetails between Left Back Panel (E) and Left Side Panel (C). Engage lap joint between Left Back Panel (E) and Right Back Panel (G) and install Wall Connectors (Q) 4 places. E 21 Using Original Shed part. Install Gable (M) onto top of back wall engaging the 2 dovetails and snaps on the back panel and the dovetail on the side panel on both the left and right sides of the shed. Slide Ridge Conector (FF) into the Ridge Beam (R) (from Extension Kit) until hole in Ridge Connector (FF) is aligned with slot in Ridge Beam (R) 2 places. Install Bolt (BB) and Nut (DD) 1 place. Apply Ridge Tape (HH) to Ridge Cap (GG) 2 places. Align slots in Ridge Beam Assembly with holes in Gable (M) tab, install Bolt (BB), Washer (CC), and Nut (DD) 1 place, ONLY TIGHTEN NUT ‘FINGER’ TIGHT. Big Max Jr. + Extension Kit = 2" x 6" x 82" Big Max + Extension Kit = 2" x 6" x 1241/4" M R M M R Note: Highly recommended for areas of exteme snow or extreme heat. Usage of the lumber supports is optional. The Big Max Shed is designed to function properly without them; however, the lumber provides extra roof support in extreme conditions. Using original Shed parts. Align slots in Ridge Beam Assembly with holes in Gable (M) tab, install Bolt (BB), Washer (CC), and Nut (DD) 1 place, ONLY TIGHTEN NUT ‘FINGER’ TIGHT. 28 Washer Plastic Tab on Gable Bolt Head Nut DD 29 Using Original Shed Parts. Lubricate roof snaps on Front Gable (M) 8 places. Raise the Left Roof Panel(s) (N) (from Original Shed) onto the left side of the shed assembly, the arrows on the roof panels should face the inside of the shed and point towards the Ridge Beam Assembly. R BB CC N R M N M R 30 Using (2) step stools (1 inside shed, 1 outside shed), lift bottom of the roof panel(s) above horizontal, guide the roof panel(s) into the Ridge Beam Assembly, align the front Gable (M) rib with the channel in Left Roof Panel(s) (N), engage Left Roof Panel(s) (N) in Ridge Beam (R) by lowering the bottom of the roof panel(s) onto the shed assembly (hold Ridge Beam Assembly to prevent twisting). While 1 person holds down on the bottom of the roof, install Screws (AA) 4 places in the screw holes on top of the Left Side Panel (C) and Right Side Panel (D). 37 Using Original Shed Parts.
