2016 Boys Kingco Invitational Saturday, January 30th University of Washington Pavilion Pool Hosted by Newport Times: Door Open: 1:00 PM Warm-up: 1:15-1:45 PM Coaches Meeting: 1:30 PM Timers/Officials meeting 1:30 PM Meet Starts: 1:50 PM the approximate end time is 4:45 PM Entries: Swimmers who have not bettered two Kingco Championship Time Standards by Wednesday, January 28th are eligible to swim in this meet. All swimmers that are eligible for this meet may swim the normal 4 events at this meet (2 ind + 2 rel or 1 ind + 3 rel) there is no limit to the number of swimmers or relays from one team that can be entered in any of the events. All swimmers must have a time in the events that they are entered. Times from this meet may be used to qualify for the Kingco Championship Meet. Swimmers may not enter an individual event in which they have bettered a Kingco Championship Time Standard. Entry Fee: $50 per team checks made out to Newport Boys Swim and Dive team. Please have checks delivered to me at the meet. Meet programs will be sold for $2 to help cover meet costs. Please email a team manager entry file to Eric Bartleson at [email protected] you do not need to send a hard copy. Volunteers: Each team is asked to provide two timers to cover assigned lanes. I will send volunteer assignment once I have confirmation from coaches that their team will be participating. Please confirm by Friday, January 22nd that you will be attending this meet. If you have an official that would like to help, please let me know. Meet Time Line: There will be a 5 Minute warm-up/warm-down after events #1, 4, 7, 8, 9, 11 with a 10 Minute break after the 50 Free. Pool will be open to all swimmers during the breaks. No Diving. Meet Seeding: Meet will be seeded as a timed final slow to fast. Entry to Pool Deck: The University of Washington has requested that all athletes enter the pool deck area from the spectator area by way of the staircase. The one ladder is for coaches and officials only. At no time is any athlete, coach, or spectator to climb over the railing from the spectator area to the pool deck. IMPORANT PARKING INFORMATION FOR UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON Busses: Turn off of Montlake Boulevard onto Wahkiakum Road. Turn Right on Walla Walla Road. Drop off is at corner of Walla Walla Road and Canal Road, at the edge of IMA Sports Field #3. Students will walk from there to the Pavilion Pool. To park, turn left onto Canal Road, right onto Clark Road and right onto Douglas Road. Park in the far east section of the E-5 parking lot, facing out. To exit instead of parking, from the drop off area, turn left onto Canal Road, right onto Clark Road and follow that to Mary Gates Memorial Drive. From there you can turn left to get back to 45 th. Exit from E-5 after the event the same way. Because of the volleyball game (which starts at 7), the busses will not be able to pick up the students where they dropped them off. The students will need to walk to the E-5 parking lot where the busses are parked. There will be police officers on the path, and it is well lit, but we will recommend walking out there in groups. Cars: Park in the E-1 parking lot, using either the North entrance off of 45th St. or the South entrance off of Montlake Ave. Parking on Saturday is free after 12:00p. Because of the Volleyball game they will be enforcing game day parking prices ($7 cash only on entrance – no re-entrance) starting at about 4:00p.
