4 Predoctoral Grants Calls for 4 predoctoral appointments funded by the “La Caixa” Foundation. Gross salary: • First year: 18,546.56 € • Second year: 19,303.56 € • Third year: 20,666.16 € • Fourth year: 22,558.67 € Includes an additional endowment of 1,500 € per year for the first two years and 1,700 € for the last two years to cover enrollment fees, books, IT programs, subscriptions, travel expenses or other expenses that researchers may incur arising from scientific or academic activities. Requirements for Applicants The call is aimed at either Spanish students or those from abroad who after October 31st 2011 have completed their university degree courses qualifying them for access to Higher Education or Official Postgraduate courses. Students, researchers and PhD holders who have had any scientific relation lasting more than six consecutive months with the ICMAT prior to the deadline for submissions to the present call are not eligible for predoctroal appointments. All candidates must already be enrolled in, or be in the process of enrolling in a doctoral program. Only candidates who have not previously been appointed to predoctoral positions of this type for longer than a period of four years are eligible, except for persons of disability. Sworn declaration by candidate that he or she has not previously held a grant convened under R.D. 63/2006, from January 27 or from another simmilar grant for a period exceeding 12 months.
