FIGURE CO2.2G Local Context: Public Rights of Way and the Dedham Vale AONB
Figure CO2.2G is presented in three parts.
Plan 1 presents an aerial view that includes the southern part of the Appeal site (including the glasshouses and large arable field to
the south). The aerial view, which was captured in 2009, has been downloaded from Colchester City Council’s mapping website
https://stratus.pbondemand.eu/connect/colchesterborough/?mapcfg=localdevelopmentframework
Plan 2 is as Plan 1, on which is also shown the routes of public right of way footpaths within the site, information downloaded from
Essex County Council’s mapping website
http://www.essexhighways.org/Public-Rights-of-Way/Map-of-the-Public-Rights-of-Way.aspx
The routes of tracks that cross the arable field and which provide the existing alignment for public footpaths 4 and 5 are also
highlighted for clarity.
Plan 3 is as Plan 2, on which is also shown the boundary of the Dedham Vale AONB, information downloaded from the MultiAgency Geographic Information for the Countryside (MAGIC) website (Natural England datasets)
http://magic.defra.gov.uk
Figure CO2.2G is presented for illustrative purposes and was prepared on a ‘best fit’ basis using overlay mapping techniques.
FIGURE CO2.2H The Appeal Site in Context
Figure CO2.2H presents the Proposed Site Plan Drawing 1502 revision B (CD/0710), on which is also illustrated the definitive routes
of public right of way footpaths within the Appeal site (as shown on Figure CO2.2G Plan 2) and the boundary of the Dedham Vale
AONB (as shown on Figure CO2.2G Plan 3).
Figure CO2.2H is presented for illustrative purposes and was prepared on a ‘best fit’ basis using overlay mapping techniques.
