INTRODUCTION:
1. The Bible speaks about giving, possessions, and
money upwards to 2,100 times.
2. Everything is Spiritual!
3. Goal: Financial health and not a crisis! To make
financial decisions in a manner consistent with and
not contradictory to the Word of God.
4. The Lordship of Jesus Christ. Defined as
master…creator…owner. God has ownership and we
have stewardship.
5. Financial Stewardship is key to our WITNESS!
 Nearly 40% of American households attempting to
live on 110% of the home’s income.
 Upwards to 25% of American households do not
have any savings.
 The average American household is facing
upwards to $119,000 of total debt.
 Charitable giving in the United States stands at a
record low 2.3% of American household income.

FOUR FINANCIAL PILLARS FOR YOUR HOME
(Matthew 7:24-27):
I.
Earning Income (I Timothy 5:18)
“The worker deserves his wages.”
A. Gross Income (Giving to God and Paying Taxes)
B. Net Income (10% Cash Cushion)
C. Spendable Income (Actual Cash-in-Hand)

Estimating Expenses (Luke 14:28)
“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will
not he first sit down and estimate the cost to see if
he has enough money to complete it?”

B. Flexible (changeable)
C. Hidden (where did that come from?)

III. Eliminating Debt (Romans 13:8)
“Let no debt remain outstanding, except the
continuing debt to love one another, for he who
loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.”

IV. Evaluating Needs and Wants (Philippians 4:19)
“And my God will meet all your needs according to
his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”
A. Difference between needs and greeds
B. Say NO to unhealthy spending practices.
God does not want his people in financial
bondage. While old habits are hard to break, we
are empowered by the Holy Spirit through His
Word for a “Financial Transformation”.
