PRG61 Body Worn Camera Quick Start Guide 1. Power ON/OFF a. ON: Hold down the power button located on top of the BWC. The BWC will say “Device On”, and a green light will turn on. b. OFF: Hold down the power button located on top of the BWC. The BWC will say “Device Off”, and the green light will turn off. 2. Video Recording a. START: Press and release the green circle button located on the front of the BWC. The device will say “Start Video Recording,” the red light next to the green light will start flashing, and a red dot next to a timer counting up will appear on the LCD screen. b. STOP: Press and release the green circle button located on the front of the BWC. The device will say “Stop Video Recording,” the red light next to the green light will stop flashing, and the red dot next to a timer on the LCD screen will disappear. 3. Charging a. Body Worn Camera: Firmly set the BWC into the large port of the docking station. There will be a “click” once the camera has been completely connected. The device will also say “Device On” once it has been properly connected. b. Battery: Locate the copper connections on the battery and the small port in the docking station. Insert the battery into the small port so that the copper connects are touching. Plug the smaller port of the USB cable into the single unit docking station. Plug the other side of the USB cable with the larger port into the computer. The camera will say “device on”, which indicates that the computer recognizes the camera. b. Run the program “PRG61 Software Manager Setup” and follow the on-screen instructions. Choose “English” for the language selection and click “Next” c. Once the program is finished installing, open “AEE Manage Software” d. If the PRG61 has been connected successfully, the letter of the drive will be displayed in the drop left corner drop down box. e. Enter the password “15935728” into the box provided and press “Connect”. The camera will say “Connection Successful” upon success. f. From here, it will be possible to change settings on the camera, and the videos, images, and audio will now be visible by going to: i. Windows 7: Computer > Drives and Devices ii. PRG61 i. Press the “M” button located on the top left on the back of the camera. ii. Use the Right arrow button to the Gear Icon in the menu list. iii. Press the “OK” button, located directly below the “M” icon. iv. Locate the “Wi-Fi Module” and press OK when it is selected to toggle ON/OFF. v. To leave the menu, press the “M” button at any time. b. Mobile Device i. Go to your app store and search for “AEE APP+” and click install. ii. Once installed, open the app and locate and click the button that says “Connect Wi-Fi”. iii. Search through the list of Wi-Fi Networks for “AEE Police” and select it. 1. Enter the password “AEE12345” 2. Both the password and network name can be changed later 3. Note: your mobile device may tell you the Wi-Fi network has no internet access. This is accurate, as the PRG61 is creating a Wi-Fi network and is not connected to an internet source. iv. Return to the “AEE APP+” app; there will now be a horizontal blue bar next to the camera icon. Click to initiate the live stream connection. Open the app “AEE APP+” and connect to the PRG61 b. Start the live Wi-Fi stream from the camera c. Click the settings gear icon in the bottom right hand corner of the display d. Scroll down to the bottom until you see “Change Wi-Fi name & password” e.
