REGISTRATION PROCEDURES FOR 2017 - 2018 Yukon Championships
Registration Fees:
All teams entering the Yukon Curling Championships must:
1. Complete the attached Team Registration Form in full.
2. Team members must also sign and date the attached Player Affidavit Form.
Registration fees must be received by the Yukon Curling Association office on or before
the registration deadlines listed on the YCA Season of Championships Event Schedule.
Registration fees for 2017-2018 are:
 $400 per team for all teams for Seniors and Mixed.
 $300 per team for all teams for Mens and Womens
 $200 per team for all teams for Mixed Doubles and Travellers
NOTE: Travellers teams only pay to play if a Yukon Championship is required as
they have already incurred a fee at club level.
 $200 per team for all teams for Junior and Masters.
 $30.00 Registration fee for all teams entering U18 Championship
 All Championship events held at Whitehorse Curling Club will be charged an
additional $100.00 per team for ice fees incurred. This fee will be reimbursed if
no championship is required.
All cheques are to be made payable to the Yukon Curling Association.
Incomplete forms and late entries are not acceptable.
Competitor Fees:
The following Yukon Curling Championship events must also pay $40.00 per person per
event entered to a maximum of $80.00 per competitor per season. This fee replaces the
previous competitor card fee and reflects a change in Curling Canada policies.
Juniors, Seniors, Womens, Mens, and Mixed.
Competitor fees must be received by the YCA on or before registration deadlines listed
on the YCA Season of Championships Event Schedule.
Registration Deadlines:
In all cases, the registration deadline will be 4:30 pm on the respective date indicated on
the YCA Season of Championships Event Schedule.
Eligibility:
All competitors and teams must comply with the Eligibility and Team make-up section of
the Yukon Curling Association's Championships Policy.

YCA Competitions:
a. Teams are responsible for providing their own uniforms.
b. Jackets or sweaters must be matching. If jackets or sweaters are removed, shirts
must match in colour.
c. Brooms, Stabilizers, Footwear, and general curling gear shall be in good repair.
d. Anything causing debris on the ice surface will be removed from play.
e. Advertising is permitted provided it is not in conflict with any local or national sponsors
of the respective championship.
Age Requirements:
Juniors
A maximum of 20 years of age as of June 30, 2017.
Mixed, Men’s and Women’s
No Age requirement.
Seniors
A minimum of 50 years of age as of June 30, 2017.
Masters
A minimum of 60 years of age as of December 31, 2017.
Length of Competitions:
The start date of competitions will depend on the number of teams entered and the
number of sheets of ice available at the host club. All teams should be prepared to
begin play during the middle and/or the end of the week. All competitions play to
completion at the host club and end on Sunday, unless extenuating circumstances
apply.

Association events, understand that there are expectations of me as to my conduct and behaviour
at these competitions. I agree to abide by the rules and requirements as outlined in the Yukon
Curling Association’s Policy and Procedures Manual and the Yukon Curling Championships Team
Registration Package. Should I fail to follow these rules, I realize I may be removed from these
competitions and sent home at my own expense and could be subject to further disciplinary action
after the competition.
