coaching post:
Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead Hockey Club is seeking to appoint a coach to the Men’s 1st team
squad who play in East Men’s Leagues 2S. The coach should be Level 2 qualified and have
experience of playing at a reasonable level. Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead Hockey Club are
committed to supporting and developing its coaches and follow the guidelines set out by the Herts
Sports Partnership for the employment and deployment of coaches across the county.
Applicants should have proven hockey coaching ability and experience of coaching adult players.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, as is an understanding of working
with athletes from 16 upwards and an ability to deliver at an appropriate level to further develop
their skills.
You will be aged 18+ and successful applicants will be required to undertake a criminal records
bureau disclosure before any delivery can take place.

You will be expected to
Evaluating and monitoring activities using performance indicators;
Liasing with clubs, schools, professional and sports governing bodies;
Maintain links with county, regional & national sporting representatives;
Work within organisation guidelines, eg equal opportunities, health & safety ;
