Candise Branum Oregon College of Oriental Medicine For students who think they already know how to do research, library instruction is BORING. Why don't we start asking students what they want to learn? create a natural learning environment, get students attention and keep it start with the students rather than with the discipline. It can be uncomfortable to give up control! Need to be prepared for anything! Will need to have an assortment of lectures, activities, etc. ready to go at a moments notice. If you have handouts, then you’ll need to have those available! Keeping students on track -- you are giving them the power to choose the course of the instruction, but you will still need to be able to manage the classroom Making adjustments for learners outside the norm The ONE-SHOT Session course: Perhaps more challenging, but the payoff could be great Perhaps a hybrid course with online learning modules?
