“free” First Home Buyer’s Grant,

Under the government’s “First Home Buyer”
scheme, people were able to obtain up to
$7,000.00….
supposedly a “generous gift” from Australia’s
all-knowing, all-giving, all wise and all-kind
god-like SOCIALIST government.
This ‘gift’ would go towards their deposit
for the purchase of a house.

Even if the young couple buy an existing
(‘used’) house, the effect will usually be that
someone ‘down the line’ will buy or build a new house.
Also, the price of most existing houses are
usually relative to the cost of a new house.
That’s because (in effect) the tax
was previously included in the price.
To keep this simple (but still accurate!) we’ll assume
the young couple are buying a newly-built house.

they excitedly sign
all the ‘papers’ that

their ‘average’ new house is

and that, with the ‘gift’ (?) of
$7,000.00 they have managed
to deposit a 10% total of
$30,000.00

We know that the actual cost of the
house is less than half of the total
mortgage they will be paying.
