On a personal note, he likes to always communicate the importance of family, scholastics, and developing a work ethic on and off the field. He credits his family's patience and acceptance to his successes at Mira Costa High School, St. Bernard High School, and running a very successful Manhattan Beach Senior League. He is married to Ines, his wife of 23+ years, and has 2 boys: Chris and Danny, who both played collegiate baseball. He also has a beautiful daughter Jackie, who is currently at LaVerne University and a member of both the swimming and water polo programs.
