Dear Parents
Please find enclosed our fun packed After School Clubs programme for the Autumn Term.
All children attending and parents when delivering or collecting children from School Clubs must adhere to the
School Clubs and general school policies. Policies are available on the school web site or a copy can be
requested from the school office.
Your child will only be added to an activity club register when you have completed a booking form and
enclosed full payment, if you have not submitted a booking form and payment you will be required to
collect your child from school at 3.30pm
Please would parents who are collecting from after school clubs note that due to Safeguarding and Health and
Safety reasons that the school gates will not be opened before 4.40pm. It would be most appreciated if you
wait outside the school gates until this time.
Breakfast club will run from Monday 5 September to Friday 16 December 2016
Fun and leisure club will run from Monday 5 September to Thursday 15 December 2016
Activity clubs will run from Monday 12th September to Friday 9th December 2016 (unless stated
otherwise)
We aim to ensure clubs taking place outdoors run as smoothly as possible, however in the event of poor
weather conditions these clubs will continue indoors. Activities are subject to change with the limited space
available inside. Parents/guardians will not be notified of these changes as they can occur at very short notice.
If you pick up your child at the end of the school day when they would normally attend a club, it is essential
that you let the leader stationed in “The House” know, as we have to account for all children on our registers
who are attending clubs. When picking your child up after the club has finished please remember to sign your
child out with the club leader; this is for your child’s safety.
You will be required to ensure that you register your child, there is an annual registration fee of £25 for every
child who wishes to join a club, either breakfast and/or after school clubs. This fee helps to cover the cost of
insurance and associated running costs.
We are sure that the children will find the clubs enjoyable and hope that you find them interesting and helpful.

Clubs for the Autumn term 2016
Please book now to avoid disappointment!
You can obtain information about our school clubs every day after school in “The House”. All clubs
(except private piano) run from 3.45 to 4.45. All children however are supervised from 3.30 onwards,
regardless of the start time of their clubs. All clubs are open to girls and boys. Leisure club follows all
clubs and runs from 4.45 to 6.00pm.

HOW TO BOOK CLUBS.
1. Register your child/ren
2. Look at the list of clubs available; check the details on the following sheets.
3. Decide what days would you like your child to attend a club.
4. Fill out a booking form and enclose payment for each club your child would like to attend. (More forms are available from the
school office) and hand in to the School office.
Please make sure you print your child's name, Year and club on the back of your cheque. Please write
a separate cheque for each club.
If your child is eligible for Free School Meals you may be able to claim a concessionary rate for activity clubs.
Please see Miss Spearing in the school office. These places are limited, please apply before clubs start.
Fun/Home from Home and leisure club/Home from Home will run from Monday 5 September to Thursday 15
December 2016. Should you wish your child to attend an activity club but you require your child to attend clubs
for the entire term the remaining days and weeks can be booked separately into Fun/Leisure club.
BREAKFAST CLUB - ALL AGES - Reception to Year 6
All ages. 8am - 8.55am from Monday 5 September to Friday 16 December 2016.
Your child will be looked after from 8am until the bell goes at 8.55am. They will also be given Breakfast to eat and can join
in play activities. The cost for each day of the week is as follows. (Reduced cost for a termly advanced payment)

The MINI FOOTBALL plans are original, well thought out, high quality, unique and exciting sessions, based around the
fundamentals of technical football, providing a fun environment for the children. Our coaches are enthusiastic, confident

Children will learn the basics of drawing principles in a fun environment. Over the term we will look at perspective,
landscapes, portraits, drawing from still life and how to draw characters and cartoons. Different techniques such as
shading and texture will be experimented through using pencil, charcoal, chalk, ink and paints. Learn how to turn those
doodles into inspired drawings!

Andrew was taught by Fanny Waterman before studying at Chetham’s School of Music. He then graduated at the
Guildhall School of Music and Drama. As well as teaching piano, he is a sought after pianist for classical concerts and has
appeared on various TV and Radio stations. He started with us whilst he was a student.

Gymnastics is an all-round sport that develops strength, agility, flexibility and co-ordination. Hampstead Gymnastics
Club will deliver an excellent fun and interesting introduction to gymnastics in a structured manner. The children work on
floor skills (i.e. handstands & cartwheels), bar work, vaulting.
LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! Friday – Year 4-6 - £120 (Maximum 12 places only)

Let's make a movie!. Lights! Camera! Action! is all about having fun, making friends and making films.
This popular and fast paced after schools clubs introduces students to all aspects of filmmaking. From script writing
through storyboarding to directing, acting, camera, special effects and editing. All sessions are hands on and students are
encouraged to bring in their own cameras and equipment. By the end of the course all Film Clubbers will take home a
DVD of their finished film and will have learned the necessary skills in order to carry on making movies in their own spare
time. Emphasis is placed on team working, creative thinking and problems solving.

NO CHILD MAY ATTEND A CLUB WITHOUT THE CHILD BEING REGISTERED.
