STATE TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP BID GUARANTEE GUIDELINES

BID GUARANTEE:
Host member must pay T.A.A.F. a host fee no later than ten (10) days following the tournament. Fee
schedule is as follows:
a. Team Sports (adult basketball): Minimum bid to TAAF of $15 per team, plus cost of awards as
follows:
 2-5 teams: minimum 1st and 2nd place team trophies; 1st place individual awards or team
travel funds; 7 all-tournament; 1 MVP
 6-11 teams: minimum 1st and 2nd place and consolation champion team trophies; 1st and 2nd
place individual awards or team travel funds; 7 all-tournament; 1 MVP
 12-15 teams: minimum 1st and 2nd place, consolation champion and consolation runner-up
team trophies; 1st and 2nd place individual awards or team travel funds; 7 all-tournament; 1
MVP
 16+ teams: minimum 1st and 2nd place, two (2) semi-finalist, consolation champion and
consolation runner-up team trophies; 1st and 2nd place individual awards or team travel funds;
7 all-tournament; 1 MVP
b. Team Sports (adult softball): Minimum bid to TAAF of $15 per team, plus cost of awards as follows:
 2-7 teams: minimum 1st and 2nd place team trophies; 1st place individual awards or team
travel funds.
 8 + teams: minimum 1st through 3rd place team trophies; 1st and 2nd place individual awards or
team travel funds; 5 all-tournament; 1 MVP.
c. Team sports (adult): Minimum bid to TAAF of $15 per team, plus cost of awards as follows:
 2-7 teams: minimum 1st and 2nd place team trophies and 1st place indivisual awards or team
travel funds.
 8-11 teams minimum 1st through 3rd place team trophies; 1st and 2nd individual awards or
team travel funds; 12 all-tournament; 1 MVP
 12-20 teams: minimum 1st through 4th place team trophies; 1st and 2nd individual awards or
team travel funds; 12 all-tournament; 1 MVP
 21+ teams: minimum 1st through 4th and two 5th place team trophies; 1st & 2nd individual
awards or team travel funds; 12 all-tournament; 1 MVP
d. Team sports (youth basketball): Minimum bid to TAAF:
 2-7 teams: host to pay $500 plus $15 per team and cost of awards: 1st and 2nd place team
and 1st place individual awards.
 8-12 teams: $1,325.00 (includes cost of awards)
 13-20 teams: $1,650.00 (includes cost of awards)
 21-32 teams: $1,950.00 (includes cost of awards)
 33+ teams: $2,250.00 (includes cost of awards)
Note: Youth basketball state tournaments award two (2) sets of bronze (3rd place) medals. The
extra cost of those awards will be added to the above minimum awards.
e. Team sports (adult & youth): Minimum bid to TAAF (tournaments not addressed above):
 2-7 teams: host to pay $15 per team plus the cost of awards: 1st and 2nd place team trophies;
1st place individual awards or team travel funds.
 8-12 teams: $825.00 (includes cost of awards/travel funds)
 13-20 teams: $1,150.00 (includes cost of awards/travel funds)
 21-32 teams: $1,450.00 (includes cost of awards/travel funds)
 33+ teams: $1,750.00 (includes cost of awards/travel funds)
 Exception: all youth tournaments in team sports will award medals as the individual awards to
the champion and runner-up teams. An all-tournament will not be selected in youth team
sports.
f. Individual sports (gymnastics): Minimum bid to TAAF:
 $1,500 plus the cost of awards
g. Individual sports: Minimum 1st through 3rd place medals; other awards as required by the sport.
h. State invitational tournaments (S.I.T): Minimum bid to TAAF is $10.00 per team or $5.00 per
individual for individual sports.
