What’s been done:
 Completed supervisor trainings and Level I (Intro)





Trainings for Faculty and Candidates
Finalized parent consent forms and consent for other
adults in the classroom (working on translated versions
for LEP Parents)
Developed an Ethics Module and acknowledgement
form with candidate ethics assessment
Developed an edTPA website with resources for faculty
and candidates
Posted a number of best edTPA Practices videos to the
resources area
Created edTPA Taskstream areas for each SUNY Cortland
program

What remains to be done:
 Schedule Level II Trainings for October, 2014
 Schedule Level III Trainings for November, 2014
 Distribute candidate Ethics Module
 Determine state standards for passing edTPA and
develop remediation policies for SUNY Cortland
 Make any necessary curriculum and catalog changes
 Determine what role edTPA Data will play in future
SPA/CAEP reports
Final Review of TECRC Policies
 Reviewed and discussed last spring at both
the April and May TEC meetings.
 Final alterations made in early summer
2013.
 Today is final day to review.
 Approval by e-vote will take place after
today’s meeting.

submit by Wednesday, October 23, 2013.

Status Report
Discussion of Ideas for Offering
DASA/CARR/SAVE Workshops
 Eliminate offering of SAVE as part of HLH classes
 Students are charged for these workshops even though they are
part of class time.
 Would allow for bundling of workshops (see below).
 Offer DASA Workshop as hybrid: 3 hours “face to face”
workshop; 3 hours on-line prior to workshop (NYSED
requires a minimum of 3 hours “face to face”)
 Offer CARR and SAVE Workshops at same price ($35)
 Offer DASA Workshop at $105
 Offer package price: 3 workshops for $150 to be taken all
on a Saturday.
Discussion of the Elimination of the
TEC Curriculum Committee
 Do we need a TEC Curriculum
Committee?
 If so, what should its purpose be?
 If not, how should it be eliminated from
the college curriculum process?
