Clear the Air
1. Condense your small trips. Try to plan your day
so that you can accomplish everything in one trip
rather than several smaller ones.
2. Accelerate from stops at a slow and steady pace.
Quick, rapid acceleration drastically hurts your gas
mileage!
3. Don’t go over the speed limit. The faster you go
the worse your gas mileage will be.
4. Coast whenever it’s possible. Constant break-tapping followed by acceleration eats up gas unnecessarily. Set your car on coast if you’re on road trips.
5. When it’s warm outside, keep your windows
rolled down when driving 35 mph or less. Roll
your windows up and use your A/C when driving
faster than 35 mph.
6. Keepyourtiresproperlyinflated.It’s much more
difficult for a car to spin flat tires. The harder your
engine works, the more gas you waste.
7. Get any needless items out of your car! Added,
unnecessary weight drops your gas mileage several
percentage points. So, take out the golf clubs when
you’re not using them!
8. Replaceyourcar’sairfilterregularly!This is
the most important thing you can do! A bad air
filter could waste as much as 30 cents per gallon!

A Sweet, Spring Treat!
ClassicKeylimepiegetsupgradedforspring
withcoconutmilkinthefilling.Ifthatisn’t
enough,thedessertisgildedwithtoasted,
shreddedcoconutsprinkledontopofabillowy
whipped-creamtopping:
Ingredients
• 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
• 1 can (13.5 oz) unsweetened coconut milk
• 1/3 cup fresh or bottled Key lime juice
• 7 large egg yolks
• 1 pie crust, made with graham crackers
• 2 cups cold heavy cream
• 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
• 3 tablespoons sweetened, shredded coconut, toasted
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a medium bowl, whisk together condensed
milk, coconut milk, Key lime juice, and
egg yolks until smooth. Pour into crust
and bake until set but still slightly wobbly in center, 40 minutes. Let cool on a
wire rack, 1 1/2 to 2 hours, then refrigerate 3 hours (or up to 1 day).
2. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer,
beat cream and sugar on high until stiff
peaks form, about 3 minutes. To serve,
top pie with whipped cream and sprinkle with toasted coconut.

The definition of friendship sure has changed a
lot over the years. Not that long ago, to be friends
meant that you would go to dinner with someone.
Maybe, you’d watch a ballgame together and grill
on your barbecue pit. You might even take road
trips or vacations together.
Today, friendship has taken on additional factors.

cell phone at all times. You might text each other a
few times a week (or for younger people—a few
times a day). And of course, there’s social media!
The Internet has changed everything about the
world, including how you define your friends.
