 Head Coach Women’s (U/17s) – part time Football Federation Australia (FFA) is the governing body of football in Australia. The FFA's strategy focusses on Entertainment (connecting more fans with the Hyundai A‐League), Participation (improving the experience for all participants), Winning (building generations of successful national teams) and Leading (Leading football towards a united purpose). This role is initially a contract until the completion of the 2018 FIFA U/17 Women’s World Cup. This person will be located in Canberra. Purpose of the Role  To provide leadership, coaching and management to the Women’s Under 17 National Team (the team) to ensure success in and qualification of the 2018 FIFA U/17 Women’s World Cup.  To develop players for the Young Matildas (under 20s) and Matildas teams of the future.  To provide advice to the FFA’s National Technical Director in respect of technical matters generally.  To provide advice to the FFA’s National Technical Director in respect of technical matters generally.  To provide expertise as a coach in the implementation of FFA’s National Football Development Plan as requested by the National Technical Director. Key Areas of Responsibility  Provide leadership, coaching, management, strategic, tactical and technical direction to the Team.  Provide strategic, tactical, technical, team selection and team attitude input to the team as requested by the Head Coach and the National Technical Director.  Provide support and advice to other Coaching staff on on‐field matters relating to the Joeys.  Attend matches of opposing teams as a scout and provide reports to the National Technical Director as requested.  Monitor the playing, fitness, availability, progress and well‐being of Australian national team players based in Australia as and when requested by the National Technical Director and Head of National Teams, including attending matches, meeting players and communicating with players and their Clubs as required.  Provide advice to the National Technical Director and the Head of National Teams on off‐field matters relating to the Team as requested.  Attend all matches, training sessions, camps and assemblies of the team, including friendly internationals.  Provide advice and assessment of performances of the team to the National Technical Director and Head of National Teams as requested.  Consult with the National Technical Director in relation to the technical direction and development of football in Australia. Knowledge, skills and behavior required  AFC/FFA A License or Pro Diploma  Highest level of international football coaching knowledge and experience.  Ability to work successfully with existing team staff in a harmonious atmosphere.  Capacity to ensure a committed and united approach within the teams.
