Kristi St. Laurent backed by voters across all parties in State Senate Race This year, voters are looking for candidate to speak for them Kristi St. Laurent is challenging Republican incumbent Regina Birdsell on November 8th for the District 19 State Senate seat representing Derry, Hampstead and Windham. St. Laurent has received support from a number of community leaders, but more importantly, from voters across the district who are registered Republicans, Democrats, and Undeclared/Independents. "Everything I see and hear about Kristi makes me think she cares deeply about ALL the people in our community, not JUST the business owners, and about ALL the issues. She has my vote!" said Michael Misiewicz of Windham. His is a common sentiment. In Windham, seventy-four people have put their name to an ad supporting her bid for Senate, voters who represent Democrats, Republicans and Independents. Derry Town Council Chair Pro Tem Joshua Bourdon respects the leadership style Kristi has shown as former Chair and current Vice Chair of the Windham Planning Board. “Kristi is one of the most intelligent, dedicated and honest people I’ve ever met, and she has a history of reaching across every aisle. That’s exactly what the citizens want and deserve,” Bourdon said. “As a voter who is not affiliated with any political party, I vote with my feelings toward individuals,” said Barbara Coish, President of Windham Seniors. “I have watched Kristi interact with Windham Senior Citizens. She has a heart for the wellbeing of the aging population of New Hampshire. I know that issues important to all of us who are getting older are foremost on Kristi’s list of concerns. Kristi will have my vote on November 8th.” Hampstead School Board Member Karen Yasenka said, “Kristi St. Laurent will be a voice in Concord for our kids. She will fight for educational initiatives and legislation that will best serve the needs of our communities.” St. Laurent noted the support she has received. “I am humbled by the support of voters across District 19,” she said. “I have worked hard for each and every vote of support and, if elected, I will continue to work hard in Concord for the entire District.”
