Please go to our website: www.PolkEducationFoundation.org and at the top right of the page
(under the PEF logo) click on the Find It Fund It button. Once on the Find It Fund It page, click on
any of the Find It Fund It hyperlinks. In the upper right hand corner, click on Registration to create
your profile. You will use the Log In for future access to your account.

Teachers are required to register with
their official school email. Donors that
register will be able to view grants
they have funded and your contact
information will be pre-populated
when funding future grants while
logged in. Principals are prepopulated
in the program each school year and
do not need to register.

To post a Classroom Grant Request once you are logged in and on your My Grant
profile homepage, click on the blue Add a Grant Request button. (Please note, if you
do not see this button, refresh your page. If the button still does not show, the window
to post grant request is closed.)
If you want to search for previous grant request use the search button For a new
request, click on “Add a Classroom Request” (blue button) to start submitting your new
request following the on-screen instructions.

The next screen will be a full set of posting instructions. You may print them or go
back to them later. Scroll down to the bottom and click the Continue button in order
to open the posting form.

Complete your grant request using the
provided online form. You can save as a
draft or submit your request using the
corresponding blue button.
You may continue to post your projects
throughout the current grant window.
Once your request is public facing, the
community can review the grant requests
and consider funding.
If you change schools during the year,
you will need to update your profile
immediately. (If you do not make this
change, your requests will be sent to the
wrong principal for approval, delaying the
approval process)

Explanation or suggestion about each section:
Request Title – name your request. Use a title
that “hooks” the reader.
Goal – state your goals for the request clearly. Try
not to use educational “jargon”.
What will be done with the students – Give a
detailed description of activity/project and state
your planned timeline for implementation; is it a
one-time activity or permanently integrated? How
does the grant connect to your current curriculum?

Benefit – What are the expected outcomes? How
many students and teachers will benefit from this
request? Try not to use educational “jargon”.

Items – please list the items individually and the
cost per item.
Cost – grant requests may not exceed $500.
•Please note: historically, smaller amounts are more
likely to be fulfilled.
Budget Narrative – optional, in order to provide
additional budget details.
You will then have the option to “Save as a
Draft” or “Submit Request”.

Once you submit your request, a notification is sent to
your principal for approval. Once he/she has issued
approval along with Polk Education Foundation, you
will receive an email notification of the approval and
your request will be posted on the public website.
Please remember that it is ultimately up to you to
make sure your principal approves your projects. If
you do not receive approval within a week or two, we
recommend you speak with or email your principal. You
may submit as many requests as you like.
You can check the status of your grant request on the
upper right hand corner of your grant request page.
You can also cancel request, copy to a new draft or
delete grant request from the same location.

The most successful projects are
those with teachers who are
proactive in sharing their request on
Facebook, Twitter and Email.
Under the grant status box, you will
find quick links to share your
request with others.
