MULTI – CLASSIFICATION
This event will be run as a Pentathlon where the swimmers can enter
any events in the programme, excluding 800 &
1500m Freestyle & 400 IM. The Points for the Pentathlon Competition will
Be taken from your 5 highest points total throughout the competition.
There will be 1st, 2nd & 3rd Trophies Girls & Boys in the Pentathlon Event.

Meet Conditions
General
1. The meet shall be swum under FINA Technical Rules and Swim Wales Laws
and any additional conditions are set out in this document “Meet Information”.
2. All decisions made by the Meet Director shall be final and binding
Events/Entries
1. The Entry Fee is £6.00 for each Individual Event.
2. All Events are HDW (Heat Declared Winner)
3. Closing Date for entries is 9th, September, 2016.
4. Entries are accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
5. The Girls 800m and the Boys 1500m, is limited to 2 Heats per
event, the is run on a First Come, First Serve Basis.
6. Electronic Entries in Hy Tek Team Manager. Entry set up file and paper entry
details are available from [email protected]

8. Entries are to be sent through by your administrator via your club on the
Hy tek system only.
(With the exception of Para Swimmer Entries – please email completed

Heats
1. Each Heat is spearheaded, slowest to fastest.
Trophies and Medals
1. Medals shall be awarded to the top 3 Medallists in each age group.
2. Overall winners in each age group shall also receive a Trophy which will be
presented at the end of the Meet.
3. There will be no formal presentations for medals, which may be collected
from the Help Desk on Poolside by the Coaches/Chaperones only.
Withdrawals
1. All withdrawals must be notified BEFORE the start of all warm ups.
Notification must be made at the Helpdesk (Situated on the end of the
balcony) using the relevant withdrawal form and only by the swimmer or a
coach /chaperone
2. Failure to notify the Help desk of a withdrawal within the given time
requirements may render the swimmer ineligible to compete in the remainder
of the Meet.
3. Should you be unavoidably detained due to circumstances beyond your control
and are unable to register a withdrawal – please phone 07791981856

Coaches Passes
1. Coach pass (3/club max) fee of £15 each,includes buffet lunch,
start sheets, and results sheets for both days.
Pre-Meet Warm Up
1. Coaches should actively supervise the warm up to ensure that proper
procedures are followed.
2. Swimmers must not climb out at the Deep end of the pool; they should swim
to the 25m line, and carefully move across the lanes and climb out, where it
is safe to do so.
3. Warm up sprint lanes will be allocated to clubs. There will be no diving from
the blocks. However, the Meet Organiser/Referee will allow diving off the
blocks for the last five minutes of the warm up. An announcement stating
this will be made at the relevant time. In this case all swimmers must swim to
half way, and climb out to the sides, making sure that not to cause
obstruction.
Disqualifications
1. Upon disqualification, the Notice Board will be shown as the disqualified lane
not having a place. The other lane place positions are adjusted.
2. Reasons for disqualification can be obtained from the Help Desk by the coach
only and not the swimmer or their parents.
Medical Conditions
1. It is the responsibility of the swimmer and / or parent to declare to
the referee any disability or medical condition that could present a
safety risk. If such a disability or medical condition exists swimmers
must produce a medical note confirming that their participation
presents no health or safety problems.
Poolside Management
1. Access to the poolside is restricted to competitors, officials and holders of
coach’s passes, Spectators will only have access to the designated Seating
Area. The first 6 Rows are strictly for Swimmers, Coaches & Team Manager’s.
If seating in this area, you will be asked to kindly move to the designated
spectator area.
2. Please ensure that the minimum of bags are taken onto the poolside.
3. Please ensure that competitors have some form of footwear and clothing on
poolside.
4. Please use the lockers in the changing area which are a (£1). Please do not
leave bags in the changing cubicles.
5. Swimmers must not access the spectator areas nor go outside of the
immediate pool area without wearing a top and shorts/tracksuit bottoms.
Marshalling Area
1. There is a marshalling area in operation; it is the responsibility of the
Coaches/Team Manager to ensure the Swimmers are there in good
time.
2. To avoid congestion in Marshalling, Swimmers will be called up in a
block of heats, so please listen carefully to the announcer.
HEALTH AND SAFETY.
A .The health, safety and wellbeing of all swimmers, officials, volunteers, spectators and
visitors is paramount – all Health and Safety rules / regulations/ requirements must be
complied with at all times.
B .A full risk assessment must be carried out in accordance with the Swim Wales Meet License
Report Pack.
C A copy of the Pool Operating Procedures and / or the Normal Operating Procedures &
Emergency Action Plan for the facility being hired for a meet must be obtained in advance,
and must be available throughout the duration of meet
All swimmers, officials, volunteers, spectators, and visitors are required, at all times, to abide
by the rules set out in the Pool Operating Procedures and / or the Normal Operating
Procedures & Emergency Action Plan for the facility hired for the meet
D Unacceptable Behavior
Behavior becomes “unacceptable” when it is considered “Offensive” to others; this includes,
but is not limited to, the following:
Theft, willful damage to property and / or equipment, acts of vandalism, abuse of alcohol and
/ or drugs, bullying, offensive language, aggressive / violent acts, threatening behavior, all
breaches of safety practices, failure to comply with instructions / directions, actions that bring
the sport of swimming into disrepute.
E Competitive Start Award
Swimmers must have attained the standard of the Competitive Start Award in order to start
from the blocks; (this is the responsibility of the club coach).
Swimmers who have not attained the standard of the Competitive Start Award must lower
themselves into over the side into the water, on the long whistle of the Referee before starting
at an appropriate place.
F. Jewellery
“For safety and security reasons, the wearing of jewellery is not permitted while in the water
during warm-ups / swim-downs and / or competition. This includes watches, necklaces,
chains, bangles, wrist bands, ear-rings (except studs), and rings (except wedding bands). No
ankle bands are to be warn in warm-up and during the competition, if
the competitor will be asked to remove them.

Swim Wales will not be responsible for any jewellery brought to events and will not be liable
if such jewellery is lost or damaged.
Help Desk
1. The Help Desk will be situated at the end of the Balcony. Please address all
requests for information to the Help Desk Stewards.

All Camera’s etc must be registered at the Entry Desk and registered, together with a form of
identification.

Swimmers for each session please.
