JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: CRITERIA: APPOINTMENT: Branch Head Coach Adult, Senior Riding or Life Member of the Branch Hold and be familiar with the Pony Club Manuals and resource material relating to Coaching Coach at Branch level in accordance with the Manuals Attend Coaches courses Be reliable and have a genuine interest in young people Elected at Annual General Meeting of the Branch TERM OF APPOINTMENT: One year REMUNERATION: PURPOSE: As per the Branch Financial Management Policy To co­ordinate Branch Rallies KEY TASKS:
1. Plan the annual rally programme in consultation with the District Commissioner, Chief Coach and Branch Coaches. 2. Organise Branch rallies according to the annual rally programme .Ensure a gear inspection is held prior to the commencement of every rally, and ensure the horse is fit to ride, saddlery and equipment are safe, correctly fitted and the rider is in correct uniform. 3. Ensure riders are aware of the gear inspection rule requirements for competitions. 4. Be aware of safety factors and the horses well being at all times 5. Ensure an up to date record of rider’s attendance is kept. 6. If required, organise rallies for holders of C and above, in consultation with the Club /Area and Chief Coach 7. Approve Coaches and Specialists who can sign record cards at B, H and A level. 8. Ensure that Branch Coaches attend Coaches courses are the relevant level 9. Give helpful advice to parents and encourage their participation at all levels 10. Foster a positive attitude for Coaches and riders and encourage enjoyment and fulfilment in all aspects of Pony Club. 11. Ensure all riders are treated equally. 12. Ensure the Accident Log Book is kept up to date and Accident Report forms are sent to NZPCA. 13. Provide a report to the Branch meeting 14.
