GYPSY
Position Description:
The Gypsy’s job is to keep the people busy while
waiting in line…sprinkle magic fairy dust
(glitter) on the smaller guests. “for protection” .
They also chat up our guest to find out where in
Monterey they live and how many people are in
their party. If the line is not busy, this can be a
super short interaction. At “the Gypsy”, the very
young people and families should be given a
code word to yell inside that “turns off” the
monsters… This is for guests under the age of 5.
The Pay-Off:
This position is great for individuals who love
theater and dress up for Halloween.
While this is a volunteer position, working
at Castle of the Dead has its benefits:

Gypsies need to audition during one of the
orientation meetings in August/September and
attend at least one additional orientation. All
gypsies will have to commit to working on at
least two days.
Requirements:
Must be at least 14 years old to volunteer.
