This project had been initiated by the Fondation Alliance Française, based in Paris, to make the Alliance Française network in South Africa (centres of French teaching and francophone culture), models of sustainability. As an NPO and PBO, the Alliance Française of Durban, is supported in this project by public and private sponsors: The French Embassy in South Africa The Alliance Française Foundation in Paris Solaire Direct Technologies the South African branch of the French company Solairedirect, donating 12 solar Panels. Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies South Africa (Pty), the South African branch of the French Company Veolia, donating audits and two rainwater tanks. The Alliance Française of Durban has started audits and work and will be proud to introduce the solar panels to make energy in December. Rainwater tanks will be installed in 2012. - - The boundary wall has been painted with eco Friendly paint, from Prominent Paint.
